Clarksburg dedicates grave of revolutionary solider

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — The George Rogers Clark Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution conducted a formal grave marking and dedication Tuesday for Peter Lynch, a Revolutionary War solider buried in Jackson Cemetery on South Linden Avenue in Clarksburg.

The ceremony began with a processional by the Sons of the American Revolution State Color Guard.

Ed Cromley, commander of the color guard, said it is considered the face of the Sons of the American Revolution, appearing at public events such as grave markings and parades.
