MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Nick Wince was tall at the top of key as he gave a lesson in heart to WVU’s men’s basketball team.

Nick, a 5-year-old from Tyler County who has undergone serious heart surgeries, was a guest of the team on Tuesday, Feb. 24, courtesy of Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

The organization grants “wish” adventures — everything from shopping sprees to the chance to hang out with celebrities — to youngsters with heart problems.

Nick’s love for WVU basketball couldn’t be more vertical, so he got to do a shoot-around with the team during Tuesday’s afternoon practice.

After that, he signed — well, printed — a letter of intent to become an honorary Mountaineer…
