CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Cub Scout Day Camp was in full swing Tuesday as the Scouts learned about Flag Day, practiced putting up a tent, learned about geology, played archery and learned how to shoot a BB gun.
The annual camp is one week long and held in Veterans Memorial Park in Clarksburg. This year the camp has 130 Cub Scout attendees and 40 Boy Scout volunteers, said Peggy Sue Miller, camp director.
“The scouts come from Philippi, Salem, Weston, Fairmont, Bridgeport, Shinnston, Clarksburg and Lost Creek,” she said.
The camp is a big deal not only for the kids…
