Gov. Jim Justice and his administration have done well in trying to live up to the governor’s promises in regard to providing state employees with better pay and benefits.
After finding the money in the budget last March to give state employees, including education professionals and service personnel, a 5 percent pay raise, Justice has already promised another 5 percent increase.
And this past week, the governor presented his recommendations to improve the Public Employees Insurance Agency — another major issue not only for state workers, but also for the taxpayers who foot the bill. …
