WVU’s Milan Puskar Stadium revamp detailed

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Work to the restroom and concession areas and other possible projects, including a Mike Puskar statue and a police processing area are just some of the areas that could see work as part of the renovations planned for WVU’s football stadium.

WVU is searching for a construction manager at risk for the renovation project. The person will collaborate with the architect on the design, constructability, cost and schedule of the project. Companies have until Sept. 9, to submit their bids.

The projects direct construction budget is $35 million. The project is being funded by bonds and is part of WVU Athletics Facilities Master Plan.

A draft plan included in the request for qualification documents provides details of the project.

The plan calls for construction to last 935 calendar days or roughly 2.6 years. The plan is to start construction on June 5, 2015. Work on the west concourse would last from summer 2015 to summer 2016 with the east concourse over the following year, according to a preliminary project schedule…
