Two W.Va. law firms announce big merger

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — One of the largest law firms in West Virginia has announced a merger with one of the oldest law firms in the state.

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP announced its merger with Huddleston Bolen effective Feb. 1. With the merger, Dinsmore will add 40 attorneys and 56 staff members, bringing its grand total to more than 570 attorneys in 18 cities.

Huddleston Bolen, which has been in the state since 1871, is based in Huntington and has offices in Charleston, Louisville, Ky., and Ashland, Ky. “Our focus continues to be on growth and making strategic moves to add services that benefit our clients and strengthen our offerings,” George Vincent, Dinsmore’s managing partner and chairman, said in the firm’s news release.
