Philippi McDonald’s built in national record time

PHILIPPI, W.Va. — Customers lined up for the grand opening of a new McDonald’s in Philippi Wednesday morning.

The new location is not only more convenient for customers, but has set a new national record for McDonald’s Corp., being built in only 37 days.
“A typical McDonald’s takes about 100 days to build,” McDonald’s owner/operator John Ebert said.

Crews planned on building the location in 37 days before construction even began, said Tim Zorn, construction manager.

The key to completing the project in record time was time management.

“We built it in 37 days, but it took months and months of planning, and they had a couple crews going at once,” Ebert said. “We had a flow chart that showed exactly what needed to be done on what day…
