WILLIAMSON, W.Va. – Although the grand opening is not scheduled until Memorial Day, the Devil Anse Trail System opened to the public on Wednesday April, 27.
At this week’s meeting of the Mingo County Commission, George Poole a member of the board of directors of the Hatfield-McCoy Regional Recreational Authority, approached commission to provide an update on the new trail system.
Commissioner John Mark Hubbard addressed Poole stating, “Good Morning, Mr. Poole. What do we have concerning the Hatfield and McCoy Trails?”
“We have a new trail system,” Poole stated with a smile. “It is called the Devil Anse. It opened last Wednesday. I am not asking for money, I am thinking this will make us some money. It is already inundated with riders…
