Logan board grants raises to school employees

LOGAN, W.Va. — Professional and service personnel of the Logan County Board of Education will receive pay raises in the next school year.

At the BOE meeting held April 10, the increase was unanimously approved. The raise, which is an increase of $1,000 for professional and $500 for service personnel, will take effect July 1 for the 2014-2015 school year.

Current averages of personnel for the 2014-2015 school year ranks Logan County as the 25th highest salary for the state for professional personnel and 24th for service personnel. As of now, this increase would move Logan County to the 15th highest average salary for professional personnel and 19th for service personnel.
