CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The Greenbrier resort will close for a total of 24 days next year, spread throughout January, February and March, for renovations and upkeep.
“We are going to conduct some pretty big projects that we can’t really have guests around for,” Erik Hastings, a resort spokesman, said Thursday. “All the pieces haven’t really been put into place yet.”
Hastings described the closures as “preservation days” and said they were spreading out the work to keep it from affecting guests.
The resort will be closed on about half the Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the first three months of 2016.
Subject to change, The Greenbrier will be closed the following days: Jan. 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 25, 26 and 27; Feb. 8, 9, 10, 22, 23, 24 and 29, and March 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 21, 22 and 23, an operator at the resort said.
