Clarksburg to be site of new state office complex

CLARKSBURG — The state is almost ready to solicit bids for the construction of a new office complex that local officials hope attracts more businesses to downtown Clarksburg.

The project is set to go out to bid early this month, state Department of Administration spokeswoman Diane Holley-Brown said.

“Our timeline is the same,” Holley-Brown said.

The four-floor, 84,000-square-foot facility will be built on West Main Street at the site of the former office building.

The building’s tenants will include the Division of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Health and Human Resources, Division of Rehabilitation Services, WorkForce West Virginia, Auditor’s Office and Tax Department.
