CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The city of Charleston has been selected to host the national junior college Division II volleyball tournament at the Civic Center for three years, starting in 2016.
The National Junior College Athletic Association made the announcement on Monday.
“It’s exciting for us,” said Samantha Carney of the Charleston Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. “It’s an opportunity for us to host a national championship.
“It was a coordinated effort between the local organizing committee and the Civic Center.”
