Capito, Tennant used these words most in debate

Debate word cloudCHARLESTON, W.Va. — Amid all of the back and forth at Tuesday night’s debate for U.S. Senate, which words did Rep. Shelley Moore Capito and Secretary of State Natalie Tennant use the most?

Capito, a Republican, and Democrat Tennant sparred over jobs, immigration, health care and terrorism. While both women have a way with words, we wanted to see which words came up most often.

Sure, “coal” would come up a few times. So would “Obama” as both candidates mention the president frequently.

With the help of Dave Mistich at West Virginia Public Broadcasting, who snagged the Daily Mail a transcript of the debate, and a highly scientific application on a website we found, we were able to pick out the top 50 words the candidates used in the debate…
