CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A large crane was parked in front of the Charleston Civic Center Wednesday morning hoisting hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of luxury cars onto the building’s second floor, which will once again house the “Luxury Loft” for this year’s West Virginia International Auto Show.
The show runs Friday through Sunday at the Civic Center. More than 100 workers have been setting up the roughly 25 truckloads of display equipment used for the show this week, which will cover about three football fields worth of space inside the Civic Center.
More than 250 vehicles from about 30 manufacturers will be on display during the event.
“We try to have a very well-balanced, well-rounded show — something for everyone,” said Ruth Lemmon, president of the West Virginia Automobile and Truck Dealers Association.
Produced by Motor Trend Auto Shows, the annual show offers guests to hop in and check out the latest vehicle models.
The show is a non-selling environment, which Lemmon said appeals to people who want to browse what’s available in the market without feeling pressured by a salesperson.
