MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — With a new name in hand, the WVU Reed College of Media celebrated its long history with a party Tuesday, Sept. 30.
The college celebrated the start of its 75th anniversary with an event in the Mountainlair ballrooms that featured food and games for students of the college and other Mountaineers.
One of the biggest changes for the college occurred during the past few months when it became the Reed College of Media instead of the Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism. Dean Maryanne Reed said initially some people were upset that the word journalism was dropped from the title, but people have supported the name change.
