Downtown Morgantown Welcomes Sew Special

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.  – Morgantown will welcome a new sewing store to its Downtown shopping district. Sew Special will offer a wide range of sewing related supplies and services. The store will be located at 120 High Street and will celebrate its opening Nov. 20, 21 & 22 with refreshments, hourly drawings, other giveaways and sewing demonstrations.

A Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting in partnership with the Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce will take place at noon, today, Thursday, November 20.

Sew Special will be the region’s exclusive dealer of Husqvarna Viking sewing machines, sergers and software The store will also offer service and maintenance of new and used machines.  Sew Special will also be selling sewing accessories such as fabric from Moda, Benartex, Northcott and other quality fabric lines, threads by Gutermann and Sulky, patterns, machine accessories and presser feet.  The store will also offer technique and project sewing classes.  Free new owner’s classes are extended to anyone purchasing their sewing machine from Sew Special.   Sew Special will also be the showcase dealer for American made Koala sewing studios.

Sew Special will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., on Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The store will be closed on Mondays and Sundays. Sew Special is owned by Rick and Donna Eicher of Vanderbilt, PA.  This is the second Sew Special location with the first being located in Uniontown, Pa.
