Today, the Breeze is celebrating that which did not happen fifty years ago.

On Friday, January 31, 1975, the Breeze announced the intent to immediately cease publishing the newspaper.

It did not happen because Bill Robinson, owner of The Putnam Democrat newspaper offered to print the Breeze on his press at a discounted price.

The Breeze did not miss an issue. On February 7, 1975, the front page of the paper announced the cancellation of the suspension.

In 1975, the Breeze was printed in Culloden on the same press as the Putnam Post and Putnam Democrat.
