Princeton editor still critical, shows progress

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — Princeton Times Editor and General Manager Tammie Toler remains in critical condition at a Roanoke, Va., hospital, however she is showing signs of progress.

Toler was hospitalized March 29 after suffering a stroke. During a telephone interview from the Roanoke, Va., hospital Tuesday, Toler’s mother, Connie, said Tammie is following verbal commands and gives a “thumbs up” sign when asked.

“She is making progress,” Connie Toler said, noting that she believes the many prayers from the community have helped in the recovery progress.

Connie Toler said Tammie “is covered” in prayer quilts and shawls that have been sent to her.

Connie Toler also expressed her gratitude to the community for the many cards and prayers, and tremendous support for Tammie and the family.

“We are so appreciative of all the community has done,” Connie Toler said.

Anyone wishing to send get-well cards can mail them to Tammie Toler in care of Princeton Times, P.O. Box 1199, 109 Thorn St. Princeton, WV 24740…
