Wyoming County among first to participate in National Guard’s Future Leaders Corps program

CLEARFORK, W.Va. — Wyoming County will be one of the first in the state to participate in the Future Leaders Corps.

“That’s the National Guard version of the ROTC,” Major Gen. James Hoyer, Adjutant General of the West Virginia National Guard, told Westside High School students Wednesday.

The military program for youth will also be available in Logan and Mineral counties, he said.

The program is scheduled to begin in the fall.
