MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — “When money comes, we want to take it.”
This cryptic comment from WVU President E. Gordon Gee and a promise of additional information early next week were the lone takeaways from a brief, emergency meeting of the WVU Board of Governors (BOG) held Thursday in Stewart Hall.
The meeting, announced Thursday morning, was called to “discuss current West Virginia legislative issues,” according to the agenda, which went on to state “West Virginia University has become aware of an emerging opportunity for a University initiative.”
