CLARKSBURG (WV News) — WV News, publishers of The Exponent Telegram, The State Journal and 20 other titles and digital sites, has promoted two journalists as the company continues its mission of delivering in-depth coverage of news, sports and events that matter to readers.
Sports Editor Michael Minnich and Senior Staff Writer Charles Young have each been promoted to the role of deputy managing editor.
Minnich will continue to lead all aspects of sports coverage while also taking on broader newsroom responsibilities related to workflow, production and overall planning.
Young will oversee daily news coverage, mentor reporters and work to maintain WV News’ editorial standards.
The pair will work closely with veteran Managing Editor Matt Harvey and Special Projects Manager Michael Lemley to oversee day-to-day operations in the newsroom and across the company’s operations.
WV News President and owner Brian Jarvis expressed his excitement for the next chapter of West Virginia’s fastest growing media company.
