HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The Robert C. Byrd Institute (RCBI) and Marshall University will once again host the West Virginia Makes Festival, where a diverse audience of makers, inventors, tinkerers, entrepreneurs and students will convene.
Running from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at the Memorial Student Center Plaza on Marshall’s Huntington campus, the free event celebrates ingenuity with a Design Challenge that encourages makers to demonstrate their ideas and creations.
Artists, enthusiasts, hackers and hobbyists of all ages who enter the Challenge are eligible for several cash awards. Registration for Design Challengers is free but required. Registration information and event details are online at www.wvmakes.com/wv-makes-festival.
