CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Wondering if your favorite elected officials are breaking any rules by spending taxpayer dollars to, say, help a family that lost everything in a fire or put a mini-park on private property? Suspicious that the guy painting the walls of city hall didn’t have to bid for the job because he’s buddies with the mayor?

The West Virginia Ethics Commission will present a free, one-hour training course on the Ethics Act Thursday, April 20.

The session will begin at 10 a.m. in the Capitol Room at the West Virginia Training Center (Gaston Caperton Training Center), Building 7 in the Capitol Complex.

Anyone interested in learning the rules of ethics may attend.
