The Herald-Dispatch

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — West Virginia Parkways Authority general manager Gregory Barr sent out a notice of changes to West Virginia E-ZPass terms and conditions Tuesday informing state customers that they would be automatically enrolled in a new option unless they opt out.

“On or about Saturday, Sept. 15, as a current West Virginia E-ZPass customer, you will be automatically enrolled in the Limited Early Enrollment Option of the Single Fee Discount Program,” Barr said in the notice. “This automatic enrollment will allow unlimited toll-free travel on the West Virginia Turnpike from the date of enrollment through Dec. 31, 2021, for a single fee of $24 per eligible vehicle.”

Barr explained in the notice that West Virginia customers who do not want to be automatically enrolled in the new option must opt out by contacting the West Virginia Parkways Authority no later than 4 p.m. Sept. 14.
