MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Education, health care and government retained dominance as top employer categories in the Eastern Panhandle this year, according to a report released by WorkForce West Virginia this week.
Based on figures collected this year, the boards of education had the most employees in Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan counties.
Heath care entities ranked as the second largest employers in Berkeley and Morgan counties, with U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs in Martinsburg and Valley Health System in Berkeley Springs.
