CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Officials with the West Virginia Department of Administration and Fleet Management Office say they are not opposed to a bill that would transfer the office to the control of the Department of Administration.
“This bill enhances the reporting and accountability that agencies assigned or owning state vehicles must provide to the Fleet Management Office,” said Dianne Holley-Brown, Department of Administration communications director.
Beginning in 2016, state auditors in the Legislative Auditors office conducted a series of studies on the Fleet Management Office and the way different state agencies kept track of its vehicles.
