PARKERSBURG, W.Va.  — A group of women from Parkersburg and West Virginia recently traveled to Washington, D.C., to speak out about domestic abuse and child abuse.

Anna Cunningham, of Parkersburg, participated Sept. 10-12 in the Families First Educational Panel at the U.S. Capitol and other events being held at that time. She spoke in front of state and federal lawmakers, attorneys, doctors and advocates from across the country at the Capitol.

She also talked about her struggles with the legal system and how her experiences still impact her to this day.
