ELKINS, W.Va. — Local officials for state agencies are assuring residents that basic services will not be interrupted during the proposed walkout of state employees on Thursday and Friday.

Sgt. M.D. Anderson, detachment commander for Elkins detachment, confirmed Tuesday that troopers will be reporting for their scheduled shifts and will perform regular duties on Thursday and Friday.
