West Virginia DOH announces Mid-Ohio Valley road projects

PARKERSBURG, W.Va.  — The West Virginia Division of Highways has two projects planned on Wood County Route 25, Pond Creek Road, this week.

The DOH announced the planned closure of Pond Creek Road today and Tuesday, according to David Burris, District Three Maintenance Engineer.

The road will be closed at milepost 6.28, near the intersection of Wood County Route 25/6, Jerry’s Run Road, to allow for pipe installation. Crews will be working between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day. Motorists should plan ahead and must use alternate routes during this time.

Wood County Route 25, Pond Creek Road, will also be closed Wednesday for a bridge repair at milepost 8.0, near the intersection of Wood County 25/7, Bear Run Road.

The road will be closed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Motorists should plan ahead and use alternate routes during this time.

Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances may change work schedules.

In Pleasants County, the DOH announced the planned closure of Pleasants County Route 20, Turkey Run Road, on Wednesday for a culvert replacement.

The road will be closed between milepost 6.0 to milepost 6.60 between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Motorists should plan ahead and must use alternate routes during this time.

Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances may change the work schedule.
