MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Following WVU’s 34-12 loss to Penn State Saturday, Head Coach Neal Brown said the team played “bad football.”
“We played bad football. I can sit here and talk for a long time, but that’s the deal,” he said.
Brown called WVU’s offense ‘erratic,’ as the unit could not find a rhythm. Senior quarterback Garrett Greene completed just 54% of his passes, throwing 161 yards.
Crucial turnovers shifted momentum in Penn State’s favor after Greene fumbled multiple snaps in the first quarter.
“We snapped the ball at the wrong time,” Brown said. “Then, the very next play is we don’t field the snap again.”
