Water varieties pour into Berkeley Springs during annual international tasting

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — The 28th Annual Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting at The Country Inn of Berkeley Springs concluded Saturday evening.

Over 100 varieties of water from across the globe competed Saturday to win the competition, which officials say is the world’s largest.

The event has had over 700 distinct waters compete since the competition was founded in 1991, from Thailand, Syria, Greece, New Zealand, Korea and other countries. This year’s new contestants are Costa Rica and Fiji.
