MORGANTOWN, W.Va.  — The Alzheimer’s Association, West Virginia Chapter, will host a Mountaineer Style Kick-off to Walk for the 2017 Morgantown Walk to End Alzheimer’s Monday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the West Virginia University Mountainlair.

The community is invited to come together with others committed to ending this disease to learn more about Walk, the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association and how they can help advance the organization’s cause, officials said.

The event will allow past teams and new teams to register for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which will be held Oct. 15 at West Virginia University Coliseum Complex.

Participants will have the opportunity to enter to win a door prize, find out how to start a team, meet other teams, pick up team packets, learn fundraising tips, volunteer opportunities and much more, according to the Alzheimer’s Association.
