CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Despite a court order compelling Attorney General Patrick Morrisey to release records including his correspondence with major pharmaceutical companies, he has not complied in full as of Tuesday.

With seven days to go before election day, attorneys for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee told a Kanawha County Circuit Court judge that the DSCC had not received all the documents it requested or a complete Vaughn index, which catalogs what was withheld and why. Counsel also said the documents that were turned over were tardy.

“I think we would like the record to reflect that productions [of documents] were late and that we’re still waiting on Vaughn indexes, but we’re trying to work with defendants on that, noting that it’s seven days out now from the election,” said Alexi Velez, an attorney representing the DSCC, at a hearing Tuesday.
