Gov.-elect Patrick Morrisey will be inaugurated Jan. 13 on the north (interior) steps of the West Virginia Capitol.
The swearing-in ceremony is the main event, but a full day of inaugural events is scheduled, culminating with a black-tie dinner and ball at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center.
“To mark this historic day,” Morrisey said in a news release, “West Virginians from every part of the state will gather to celebrate what unites us, and we will inspire each other for the work ahead.”
