Senior citizens rally set for Tuesday

CHARLESTON, W.VA. — The West Virginia Directors of Senior and Community Services will host a rally at the state Capitol on Tuesday at 11 a.m. to protest $3.5 Million in line-item budget cuts that are taking away in-home care and other valuable services to West Virginia seniors.

Hundreds of seniors from around the state are scheduled to attend the rally. Legislative leaders and the public are invited to attend. Directors of senior centers from across West Virginia will be on hand to discuss the issue with lawmakers and media.
