MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The West Virginia Public Service Commission held a public comment hearing at Shepherd University Wednesday to address concerns surrounding a gas pipeline extension.
The meeting was moved to the Storer Ballroom after the West Virginia Sierra Club petitioned the PSC to have the hearing held in the Eastern Panhandle instead of Charleston. More than 400 residents contacted the PSC website to request a local hearing.
The Eastern Panhandle Expansion Project pipeline between Berkeley Springs and Martinsburg began construction in March.
