WHEELING, W.Va. — Parking, protesters and planning all play a role as Wheeling prepares for a visit by President Donald Trump.
Trump is scheduled to stump for West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, when he speaks at WesBanco Arena at 7 p.m. Saturday. Doors open at 4 p.m.
Vendors selling Trump-Pence 2020 merchandise already were set up Thursday at 14th and Main streets next to Wheeling Coffee and Spice. It’s also the same place where protesters are planning to stand Saturday for Trump’s arrival, according to Rosemary Ketchum, organizer for Ohio Valley Move.
