Be a part of Parkersburg High School history

The Parkersburg News and Sentinel

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — The Parkersburg News and Sentinel is commemorating the centennial of Parkersburg High School on Dudley Avenue with a book denoting the last 100 years in photos, from its earliest days to contemporary times.

People are a vital part of the book and you can be included by sending us a comment of about 100 words on “What Parkersburg High Means to Me,” or a high-resolution photograph of the school or an event.

Send your comment to Jess Mancini by:

* At [email protected] with “PHS history” in the subject line.

* At our online newsroom at newsandsentinel.com, click submit news and follow the prompts.

* Fax to 304 485-1891.

* Mail to Parkersburg High History Book, c/o Jess Mancini, 519 Juliana St., Parkersburg WV 26101.

* Hand-carry them to the newspaper at 519 Juliana St. and take them to the newsroom.

For accuracy, electronic submissions are preferred. Paper submissions by mail or fax must be typed or legibly written to avoid translation errors because of the handwriting.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but remember to identify everyone in the photo who can be identified, when the photo was taken and for what event. The photo information has to be legible to prevent errors.

High-resolution photographs can be submitted in similar ways, digitally or by sending a hard copy or original.
