CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Lobbyists came before a Senate subcommittee Feb. 20 to suggest some tweaks to a bill aimed, initially, at extending I-68 from Morgantown to Marshall County.
SB 210 brings back the County Local Powers Act. If passed, any county with significant development could use it, but it originated in Marshall.
A subcommittee of the Senate Transportation and Infrastructure committee took up the bill to hear the requests.
After the panel heard all the requests, chair Chandler Swope, R-Mercer, said staff would work on them and they would reconvene Feb. 21, before the full committee meeting, to consider them.
