PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Orion Strategies, a public relations and strategic communications firm, is opening a Pittsburgh office with Brittany Ramos joining the firm to lead that shop. Ramos comes to Orion Strategies as a Senior Account Executive after having served many years at Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation where she directed strategic outreach efforts and represented the industry and company to the general public, media, elected officials, landowners, and other stakeholders.
“Brittany Ramos is an extremely valuable addition to Orion Strategies,” said the firm’s founder, Curtis Wilkerson. “Her insights and experience in the energy industry augment what Orion has been doing for years in the Marcellus and Utica region.”
Having recently won the Pioneer Award from the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter of Women’s Energy Network, Ramos is deeply engaged in energy issues throughout Pennsylvania and nationally as a leader of many business development organizations. For a number of years, she has served on councils and boards of area nonprofit organizations such as The Challenge Program, Inc. and the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden as well as both the local chapter of Women’s Energy Network and the National Board of Directors.
Ramos holds two degrees from Penn State University in Public Relations and Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Sociology from Sam Houston State University.

Orion Strategies has been active in Pennsylvania for a number of years, and last year, former House of Representatives member, Sandy Major joined Orion Strategies to lead the firm’s efforts in northeastern Pennsylvania. After spending 20 years in the Pennsylvania Legislature, including a tenure in the Leadership Caucus, Major retired from public service to now provide on-the-ground insight for Orion’s clients in that region of the state as well as Harrisburg.
