PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — Many hands will make for light work Saturday during the annual Ohio River Sweep.
Volunteers will assemble around 9 a.m. Saturday at Point Park where organizers will dispatch them to locations in the area to remove trash from the riverbank.
“We really want this to be a community event,” said Lisa Cochran, communications coordinator for the Ohio River Valley Sanitation Commission, the six-state anti-pollution agency representing West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois.
