PRINCETON, W.Va. – An amusement park attraction that’s normally found only after driving hundreds of miles beyond West Virginia is entering the finishing touches stage in a Mercer County resort
Brush Creek Holl’r, an amusement ride and park is being built in Princeton and is located across Eads Mill Road from BrushCreek Falls Resort, according to Resort Manager Phyllis Wiley. The mountain rollercoaster is the first of its type in West Virginia and is a custom manufactured ride built in Germany. It was installed by the manufacturer over the last six months.
The new rollercoaster has been 100% installed and while waiting for hookup of utilities, the surrounding land is being cleaned and beautified, and the coaster building pad has been poured and is curing, she said. A building going next to the rollercoaster is being manufactured offsite in North Carolina and is scheduled to be delivered and installed this December.
Other new additions for the resort are being planned. On the top of the resort’s hill, plans for a fine dining restaurant are being made which will have a 360-degree view of the surrounding countryside, Wiley said.
