POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. — The annual Mothman Festival will once again happen in nearby Point Pleasant, West Virginia, this weekend, and is expected to bring thousands of attendees from around the world to Mason County.
The streets of that Ohio River town, with its normal population hovering around 4,000 people, with be full of paranormal-based events, special guests, live music, food and cosplay folks dressed up.
“The paranormal industry grows more and more every year,” said Jeff Wamsley, director and cocreator of the Mothman Festival.
The 2025 Mothman Festival will take place this weekend, Sept. 20-21, on Main Street in Point Pleasant. The weekend will feature some considered experts on the subjects of UFOs, cryptids and the paranormal.
