CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Gov. Jim Justice has appointed John Myers as director of the West Virginia Lottery, according to an announcement from his office.
Myers has been serving as secretary of administration for the Justice administration. Prior to that appointment, he worked at the West Virginia Lottery from 2008-17 and was acting director from 2015-17. Before he started his career in public service, Myers was the manager of corporate administration for Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Buffalo, West Virginia.
The appointment is effective immediately.
