Governor-elect Justice names Herring as press secretary

CHARLESTON,WV— Governor-elect Jim Justice has announced that Grant Herring will serve as his press secretary in the new administration.

During the 2016 campaign, Herring was Jim Justice’s communications director and spokesman. He is currently managing the communications for the Justice Transition Team. Herring has previously worked for U.S. Senator Mark Pryor of Arkansas, Virginia Lt. Governor Ralph Northam, and other top-tier campaigns across the country. Herring is a 2010 graduate of George Mason University.

In his new role, Herring will continue his duties as the spokesman for Justice and will work closely with members of the media.

“Grant Herring did an outstanding job on my campaign, and he’ll continue to communicate our message as press secretary,” said Governor-elect Justice. “I’ve worked with Grant a lot over the last year and a half, and I know that he’ll use all of his skills to help make our state number one.”

“It’s an honor to continue working for the Governor-elect and doing my part to make the new administration a success in every way possible,” said Grant Herring. “I’m looking forward to helping Governor-elect Justice share his vision for transforming West Virginia with the people of the Mountain State.”
