CHARLESTON, W.Va. — If you’re one of those people interested in unlocking the mysteries of your family history, a program this Saturday may hold plenty of the keys.
A genetic DNA conference and workshops will take place on Saturday, May 4, in the Archives and History Library of the Culture Center in the state Capitol Complex in Charleston. Hosted by the Mining Your History Foundation, the event will include lectures and workshops to give participants who have taken DNA tests greater insight and resources into delving into genealogy.
Lecturers will include “DNA Detective” Cheryl Hartley. An expert on ancestry research, Hartley has found biological parents for adoptees for 20 individuals to date.
