BECKLEY, W.Va. — Modular units are being delivered to Oak Hill High School where they will be assembled to house Collins Middle School students this fall.

Superintendent Terry George said six were delivered earlier this week and another five units are expected today.

A total of 32 portable units will be delivered over the next several weeks.

Once a foundation has been prepared, the units will be assembled “like a giant lego project” and bolted together, said George.

Four hundred fifth- and sixth-grade students still housed at the Collins Middle School campus will be moved to the Oak Hill High complex, and the 800 students across fifth through eight grade will be reunited for the first time since part of the campus was deemed unsuitable for occupancy in January 2015…
