MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The Berkeley County Humane Society is urging residents to remember cold-weather animal care.
BCHS president Shari Persad is cautioning animal owners to think of their pets’ well-being as cold weather and snowfall is predicted for the upcoming winter months.
“Just because they have fur doesn’t mean they’re not going to freeze,” Persad said. “Just think, if you wouldn’t want to be outside in it, then your animal shouldn’t be outside in it.”
