CHARLESTON, W.Va. — In the November election, West Virginia voters will have five choices on the ballot for governor.
The frontrunners are Republican nominee and current West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, 56, of Harpers Ferry, and the Democratic nominee and current Huntington Mayor Steve Williams, 68.
Making their case
Morrisey did not respond to emailed questions for this article, but previously submitted a statement to the Gazette-Mail. Williams answered the emailed questions.
Morrisey
“We’ve been able to accomplish a lot, Morrisey said this week to television station WHSV in Harrisonburg, Virginia. “West Virginia is now known for being one of the most effective offices against the Biden Administration and taking on federal overreach. People know my office has stood strong, fought against the feds and we’ve won repeatedly.”
He also said workforce participation is the biggest challenge facing the state.
