MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A local group aimed at helping those in active addiction work toward recovery is set to host the premiere of a documentary on Saturday that addresses drug addiction and the impact it has had in the Maryland, Washington D.C. and West Virginia area.
The Hope Dealers Project, an organization founded by a group of three women who have had personal experiences with addiction, will host the first premiere of the Maryland-based documentary, “Heroin’s Grip,” in West Virginia on April 27.
“This movie is for anyone and everyone; it really is a must see. It is the best documentary I’ve seen on addiction yet,” said Tina Stride, president of the organization. “It truly shows the devastation that heroin does to a community. It is raw, and it is real.”
